Get on the Green for the U.S. Senior Open
The U.S. Senior Open is coming to Massachusetts. This event features the biggest names in professional golf who are over 50, and it is an exciting time to be in the Salem area. Past champions include golf legends like Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Gary Player.
Salem Country Club Will Host Golf’s Over-50 Tourney
The Senior Open will happen on June 26 to July 2 at the Salem Country Club in Peabody, Massachusetts. This historic green was founded in 1895 and is a lush, challenging golf course surrounded by nature.
According to the Open’s fact sheet, this year, eligible players you’ll see competing include Fred Couples, John Daly, Tom Lehman, and Colin Montgomerie. A total of 156 pros will hit the green in hopes of the elusive birdie, and the whole thing will be televised live on Fox and Fox Sports. The event is held yearly in association with the PGA U.S. Open.
Senior Golf Tour Schedule of Events
The schedule of events for the Open will feature a few days of Practice Rounds followed by Championship Rounds.
Practice Rounds will be held daily, from Monday, June 26 to Wednesday, June 28. Attending these rounds is the perfect chance to watch your favorite golf pro get acquainted with the course. It’s also prime time for interacting with them as they play.
